This drawing came from a place I wasn't expecting.

Recently, I've been wrestling with feelings of disappointment, loss of control, financial stress, and a difficult question: What do you do when God feels distant?

The artwork began as an attempt to capture that feeling. But as I worked on it, I started realizing it wasn't really about a broken car, financial pressure, or even artistic frustration. It was about where I've been placing my trust and sense of security.

As I look at the drawing now, I still can't completely decide what I'm seeing.

Is the hand casting the figure away?

Or reaching out to catch him?
